National Service Scheme (NSS) aims at arousing social consciousness of the youth with an overall objective of personality development through community service. National Service Scheme provides the students an opportunity to understand the community; identify its needs and problems as well as the solutions in which they can be involved by assuming social and civic responsibilities. The motto of NSS is “NOT ME BUT YOU”. The NSS in VYASA operates with four units and 100 volunteers who participate in the credible, multi-dimensional service in the fields of education, environment, health, and skill development. The opportunities to participate in National Delegation Programme, National Integration Camp, National Youth Camp, and Republic Day Parade have helped the NSS volunteers to idealize their social skills, leadership qualities and aided in their holistic development. Along with NSS, Red Ribbon Club, WOW Club, and Road Safety Patrol have also rendered service to the community.
Every department has its own association. Under the name of their association, they regularly conduct guest lecture programs, inter departmental activities, intra department activities and inter collegiate activities of our students. All the students are encourages to prepare for quiz and other cultural competitions conducted by other colleges. The association club at VYASA are an integral part of the campus life and help significantly in the development of the personality of the students. They provide not only recreation and relaxation but an opportunity to learn skills from each other.
Youth Red Cross Society functions with the one and only aim of serving the people in distress without any consideration of caste, religion, language and nationality. The YRC Club motivates the students to understand the need for social and community service. The club organises First Aid training every year. The club also organizes blood donation camps, social welfare awareness programmes, rallies, health awareness lectures, disaster management training workshops, legal awareness programmes, and observation of important days. The club takes students on frequent visits to old age homes and orphanages.
Red Ribbon Club (RRC) is initiated and supported by the State AIDS Control Society (SACS). The Red Ribbon Club aims at harnessing the potential of the youth by equipping them with correct information on HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care, Support and Treatment. It also aims in building their capacities as peer educators in spreading messages on positive health behavior in an enabling environment and increasing voluntary blood donation from among youth.
The Nature Club conducts various activities such as Observing Plantation Day, Vermicomposting of biodegradable waste, maintenance of Butterfly Garden, Herbal Garden, nature trail etc., throughout the year. Butterfly garden project is an initiative undertaken to protect biodiversity.
A Sport Club is defined as a registered student organization that exists to promote and develop interest in a particular sport or physical activity. A club's focus may be recreational, instructional, competitive, or a combination of these types of activities based on its constitution. The club encourages students to take part in sports and games from district to state to national to international levels. VYASA provides an environment that facilitates optimal efficiency and effectiveness for the emerging dynamic women sports achievers by providing the best sports coaching facilities. The college has won several prestigious tournaments conducted at various levels and earned a reputation in sports.
Undergraduate fine Arts degrees teach the fine arts of drawing, sculpting, painting, music, literature, music, dance, architecture, and theatre. Other forms of art may be taught in design programs.
