Tamil Nadu Government Police Department and Empower India, Civil Society, Thoothukudi District has organized the program. Mr. A. Sankar, Judge & Honorary Secretary introduced the Chief Guest, Dr. Pa. Moorthy Sir. Infront of him, all College Nodal Officers and Students’ have taken drug pledge. Also he shared about one Unique slogan “Enakku Vendam, Namakku Vendam”. Dr. Karthik Duraisamy, M.D., Psychologist, Podhi Hospital, Tenkasi, has clearly explained about types of Drugs, how to handle drug addicted people. He has also shared his mobile number. After Lunch Dr. Ansi, Tobacco Officer, Kanyakumari District has explained clearly types of Tobacco, demerits in injuries. The mostly college students changed to peer groups and addicted to tobacco, so she insisted that the change should come from students’ community. This Workshop was really useful.

On 23/10/2004, at 3.30 Pm, in NCC room, Principal, Vice Principal, CTO C.G. Karthikadevi and 17 NCC cadets participated in the Deepavali awareness programme. Pledge was taken by all on how to avoid causing Air and Noise pollution due to the bursting of crackers by the instructions given by Tamilnadu Pollution Control Board, All cadets obeyed and vowed to follow the pledge taken by CTO.

There was a Wall magazine competition & Essay writing competition on the topic “NOTHING LIKE VOTING – I VOTE FOR SURE” in the Vyasa Arts and Science Women’s College, Subramaniapuram. In the wall magazine competition among the five best magazines submitted by the five departments three were recognized as the best. Among the seven essays in Tamil and English four essays were recognized as the best. All the articles were collected by the electoral committee of the Sivagiri region. For the selected articles the prize money and the certificate will be provided by the Indian Election commission. We thank the management for giving an opportunity to the queens of our college to participate in this competition to explore their talents and shine!
Department of Commerce organised an Awareness Programme on Commodity Derivatives on 17.10.2024 at 10.30 a.m. at seminar hall. Mr.Sooraj R.J, Sr. Relationship Manager, Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd., Chennai and Mr. K. Saravanakumar, Sr. Manager, Goodwill Wealth Management Pvt. Ltd., Madurai are the resource persons of this programme. Thiru.Sooraj R.J gave key note address on Commodity Derivatives on the eve of celebrating world investor week 2024. He explained about the commodity derivatives market, products traded on commodity exchange, Do’s and Don't s in stock market, procedures involved in stock trading, gold investment, other investment pattern, future return form each investment beneficiary investment, etc. Thiru. K. Saravanakumar gave a detailed note on the practical application of registration procedure as an investor in stock market, how and when to buy beneficial shares of a company as future investment and the required technical terms in trading process using live mode of communication. At last, he commensurate job opportunities in stock trading sector and the precautionary guidance in trading with share market. In this world of advanced technology and increasing frauds in cyber stock trading, this session was an eye opening, interactive, knowledgeable topics for the students. Students clarified their doubts and gave good feedback.
On 10.10.24 Thursday departments of Zoology, Chemistry and English together organized an industrial visit to Tuticorin, in order to gain practical knowledge about the environment of coastal areas, harbor and Salt pan. We set off from the college campus around 5 am in the morning with 34 students and 5 faculty members and Our Honorable Chairman Sir with administrative officer. We had got prior permission to visit the harbor with the assistance of Madam.Thangarani from department zoology (then). We all reached the harbor around 10 am. There we were allowed to visit a small vessel which had been anchored. It was quite interesting and thrilling to stand and walk inside the vessel. After that we were permitted to visit a small coast guard ship named “ABHIRAJ”. At once we all boarded on the ship the head came and gave general instructions about the dos and don’ts which should be followed while roaming inside the ship. Then we were assisted by a Malayali guide from the navy force. He explained about the infrastructure of the coast guard ship and all the equipment which they use during war. We felt really proud of our Indian Navy. As it was the first time for all of us to board on the ship, it was likely a very strange experience which we enjoyed and wondered about. After visiting the harbor were went to salt pans where we learn how salt is produced. r that the harbor we moved towards the beach which was very calm like a profound lake. There were no big waves so our students played and enjoyed well. Finally we all finished lunch on the sea shore and returned. Around 4.45 pm we all reached the college campus. On the whole it was an informative and joyful journey.
The bus started from our college at 5.30 am with a prayer, 19 students of III year, along with H.O.D Dr. R.Karpaga Sundara Preethy, Dr.R.V. Madhumitha Indu, accompanied the students. Our God father Chairman sir & A.O sir accompanied with us. We reached the harbour at 10.00 am. Tuticorin port is the one of the major trading ports in india located in the south indian state of tamilnadu. Today the port is known as V.O Chidambaranar port.Our students walked through the marine ecosystem and different types of ships were observed. The chief officer explained about the ship in a detail manner.The students enjoyed the ship and we started from there at 11.30 a.m. Then we reached the salt pan field. Tuticorin is also known as the “pearl city”and the “Salt capital of Tamilnadu”. The owner of the salt pan explained about the production and harvesting of the salt. The salt produced in tuticorin is used for cooking and baking. Next we reached muthunagar beach. The queens were enjoyed there and finished their lunch. We reached the College at 5.30 pm. On behalf of myself, my department staff and my students, I thank the Almighty for the blessings and a safe journey. I thank our Godfather Chairman Sir for arrangements made in a short span of time. We thank our M.D Madam for the prayers, blessings for organising the tour. My heartfelt thanks to our Principal Sir Dr. Eswaran Sir for accepting our request and the arrangements made for us. I thank our vice Principal mam Mrs. Saradha for the support. I thank our Exam coordinator Mrs. Sujatha Madam for the guidance and support. I thank Dr.Thangarani mam for their timely help to visit the harbour effectively. Last but not least I thank my Lovable students who made this tour a wonderful and a memorable one. Once again I thank our Management.
The rally started around 9.45 am from assembly lodge area, Sankarankovil. Many students from various colleges and schools of Tenkasi district had participated in the rally. Students of NCC, NSS clubs and students of UBA Scheme, including cultural students from our college also had participated in the rally. Around 10.45 am the rally reached the venue where the final event of anti-drug awareness program had been organized by Voice of Tenkasi foundation. His Excellency Honorable Governor of Tamil Nadu Sri R. N. Ravi had been invited as the Chief Guest of the Program. Sri Saidai S. Duraisamy, Padmasri Sridar Vembu, ZOHO had also been invited as the special guests. Further our God father honorable chairman sir and the correspondents of various institutions had been invited as special dignitaries. His Excellency Honorable Governor of Tamil Nadu delivered his speech on Drug intrusion, addiction and recovery. Our Honorable chairman sir received an award from His Excellency Honorable Governor of Tamil Nadu. Our college students performed a dance for a motivational song “Sodhanaigal Sorndhu Pogum” which inspired everyone. Also, our respected Principal Sir and the cultural in charge along with all the cultural participants of our college received an award. It was really a moment of pride and confidence to see our God Father, Honorable Chairman Sir among the dignitaries on the stage. We will be always grateful for your constant support and encouragement in all our endeavors.

The event on ‘World Maritime Day Celebration’ started sharply at 2.30 in the seminar hall. The programme started with the blessings of Almighty by doing silent prayer and it is preceded by NCC song. Welcome speech was given by Principal Dr. R. Eswaran. Vice Principal Dr. Saratha Nellainayaki mam honoured the Chief Guest E. Gomathi GCI with a golden shawl. A speech on ‘World Maritime Day’ was given by Monica Srinithi from III CS Department. Then pledge on ‘Swachhata hi seva’ was taken by GCI, Vice principal, Principal, Administrative officer and Cadets. PPT presentation on World Maritime Day’s Importance was presented by C.G. Karthikadevi CTO. Cultural dances were performed by the cadets regarding the theme of ‘Struggle to Win’ and the ‘Life of Fisherman’. Finally, the programme was a grand success. After the programme, GCI mam instructed the cadets regarding the correct way of wearing uniforms. She selected some of the cadets for the next camp by giving some activities such as classical dance and running race. Thus the day ended with many new opportunities for the cadets and they could identify their talents and potentialities.

On 23.9.2024 there was a State Level one day seminar in Recent Trends in Mathematics cum Math Master Quiz Competition organized by the Department of Mathematics, Vyasa Arts and Science Women’s College, Subramaniapuram in the seminar hall. Around 112 students and three faculty members from various institutions in Tamil Nadu participated the seminar and quiz competition. The resource persons were Dr.U.Kumaran, Lecturer, Government Polytechnic College, Theni and Mr.G.Ganesan, Assistant Professor, Mahakavi Bharathiya College of Engineering and Technology, Vasudevanallur. Five teams participated in the State level quiz competition and by Sri Paramakalyani College won the winner trophy. The runner trophy was won by Kamaraj Government College, Surandai. Intra departmental quiz competition was also held and the winners were rewarded with merit certificates and trophies. Refreshments and lunch were served. The whole program was organized by the faculty members Princess& Queens of our department.
On 20.9.2024, Friday the Assistant Professor Selection Interview by the Panel of the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli was held in Vyasa Arts and Science Women’s College, Subramaniapuram. The Panel of 30 professors from various colleges associated with Manonmaniam Sundaranar University from 9 departments interviewed 35 candidates. Dr.Kumaran Senior Professor presided the panel as the Vice Chancellor’s nominee. The panel includes all 9 department’s Vice Chancellor’s nominee, SC/ST nominee, Women nominee and Two subject experts for all 9 departments. The selection process started at 11.00 am. The Management of Vyasa Arts and Science Women’s college provided an excellent hospitality and arrangements for the interview with delightful lunch. We thank the God Almighty for the successful completion of the selection process and our sincere thanks to Manonmaniam Sundaranar University!

89 students from the Commerce Department went on an industrial visit to Arumugam Spinning Mills pvt Ltd, accompanied by 4 Professors and College Administrative officer in two buses. The Financial Manager welcomed us and, with the help of their Technical experts, showed us around the company. The students asked many questions and gained a lot of knowledge about how cotton is processed and transformed into yarn. We were amazed to see the practical applications of what we had learned in our textbooks. We thank our college management for organizing such a wonderful and informative trip. All the students gave positive feedback, saying it was very useful and beneficial for them.
The programme started with silent prayer proceeded by NCC song. The chief guests Lt col Deepak Singh Samant SM and Subedar Major Chaurasia were honoured by Chairman Sri. Velladurai Pandian sir with a memento. The Chief guest Lt Col lightened one face of 'Kuthuvilaku'. Welcome speech was given by Principal Dr. R. Eswaran. Inauguration of new NCC company was inaugurated by Chief guest Lt Col Deepak Singh Samant SM by cutting the ribbon of NCC room. Cultural participants performed amazingly for their motivational song and patriotic song with the spirit of involvement, coordination and patriotism and they were specially applauded by the Chief guest. Chief guest Lt Col Deepak Singh Samant SM blessed the newly enrolled cadets with his vibrant talk. He instilled the values of NCC, Personality Development. NCC creates opportunity to become physically and mentally strong person. It develops good habits through the training camps. Finally vote of thanks was given by Care Taker Officer C.G Karthikadevi. Thus, the programme was a grand success with the blessings of Almighty God.

He started his speech with the UBA background, History, vision & mission, and finally explained the goals and themes. On 11.9.2024, Wednesday there was a Career Development Programme organized by the Placement Cell of the Vyasa Arts and Science Women’s College, Subramaniapuram. The resource persons are Dr.Balaji Ayer, Founder of Infact Pro and Mr.Gowri Sankar. Our Principal Dr.R.Eswaran honoured the resource persons with mementos as a token of love. All department HOD’s and nearly 650 queens of our college participated and gained motivation. The first session started at 10.45 am. Ms.R.Abinaya Prajna, our first M.Com queen welcomed the gathering. The resource person focused the importance of the skills which were needed for a student to get placement after the UG degree. Also the speaker had an extraordinary interactive session with our queens. At 12.00 noon, in the second session the speaker explained about the importance of the certificate courses like Cyber security, Data science and Banking & Finance. Also he encouraged the queens to update themselves then and there for reaching great heights in future. Ms. S.Praba of III B.Com delivered the vote of thanks. The session ended at 1.00 p.m.

Founders Day is a reminder that the most enduring legacies are built on the foundation of education and knowledge. Founder’s day celebration started at 10.00am with pomp and fervour. Queens of each department presented programs to entertain the gathering with various events like dance, drama mime etc. On behalf of all the queens of our college, a cake cutting was arranged, and then to express their love and respect the selected leaders presented gifts and mementoes. Onam and Vinayagar Chathurthi celebrations appended vibrant tones to the crowd. Our queens gave a stunning Onam performance which was enjoyed by everyone gathered. The program was filled with fun. Afternoon session was a dedication of the faculty members, all the faculty members gathered with energy and enthusiasm after sumptuous meal. The session began with a prayer song followed by felicitation addresses and poems penned by the professors. Faculty members conducted fun games, a compatibility quiz was held, two professors exhibited their dancing, tricky puzzle was put forward by the department of chemistry. The epitome of the whole celebration was planned by the department of BBA, that made it more emotional, by offering welfare to differently abled prosthetic leg and hands were donated to Viswaraksha Seniors Home Foundation. On the whole, the day marked a memorable experience in every one’s life. With a happy and contented heart the celebration came to an end at 4.30pm.

Being an auspicious day, our Management organised a special celebration cum meet at 9.30am. All the faculty members received the blessings of God Father, Chairman Sir and MD ma’am. Chairman Sir wished all the professors a happy teachers day and blessed us , Madam guided us by sharing her valuable words of wisdom and motivated us to be ‘an inspiring teacher. As a token of love our management gifted all the working fraternity of Vyasa family. Queens dressed as professors also congregated to get blessing from respected Sir and Madam, two queens disguised as Chairman Sir and MD mam. Our queens acted as reel teachers by choosing their subject of choice; previously they prepared themselves with lesson plans and aids to supplement their teaching. The reel teachers were judged by the incharges with the given criteria. The best one of each class was selected and honoured by our chairman sir in the afternoon which was followed by entertainment programs organised by the respective departments. All the professors and non teaching staff members are treated with sumptuous meal.
Our Manonmaniam Sundaranar University in association with IIT Madras under the guidance of IIT Pravartak conducted the sixth month course titled Banking and Finance exam on 04.08.2024, Sunday. In our campus, Seventy Seven (77) candidates of our college attended the exam. 51 candidates passed in that IITM certification exam, out of 77. Ms.M.Ramya, I M.Com secured the top position in the Top Ten list. The course felicitation was held at MSU – VOC Hall on 30.08.2024 at 10 a.m., Four Principals and Four Nodal Officers of various colleges were selected as the Best Principal and Best Coordinator of IITM – Banking and Finance course by considering various criteria. In this stream, Our College respected Principal Dr.R.Eswaran has received the Best Principal Award from IITM Personnel in the presence of Vice –chancellor of MS University. In the meanwhile, Mrs.A.Pandi Lakshmi, Head, Department of Commerce also received the Best Coordinator Award from the golden hands of our MSU Vice-chancellor Dr.N.Chandrasekaran and Dr.Rajendra Mootha, Chief Operating officer, IITM Pravartak. Ms.M.Ramya, I M.Com too received the Award as the Best Student. This is the unique prestigious record of our valuable institution to have Two Awardees (Best Principal & Best Coordinator) from our college. This is the time to express our sincere gratitude to all stakeholders who showering their expensive support to the IITM Team of our college. Our college queens (34) have waltzed their movements as a real peacock. Two colourful cultural programmes given as a gaudy rain fall to all participants. A blast of applause given to our cultural teams. Mrs.Indira Priyadharshini, Asst. Prof of English and Mrs.A.Daisy, Asst. Prof. of Tamil coordinate this event. The delicious stuttering lunch was provided by the University to all participants. The entire programme has reached the successful path. Really this event expressed their success story of IITM for the Banking and Finance Course. We surrender our sincere gratitude to God Almighty and our MS University to offer this kind of opportunity to our students.

Kamal Kishore IAS, Collector, Tenkasi have come and delivered the speech on Girl Child Education & Girl Child Protection (BBBP ) and also Women Empowerment. In view of National Space Day 2024 celebration, one day workshop and seminar was held. The resource person Dr.A.Subbiah Pandian gave a lecture on the topic “FROM SRI HARI TO SIVA SAKTHI”. Models like Solar system, Solar eclipse, Lunar eclipse were displayed by the Physics department queens in the laboratory.District Astro club Scholors were also Participated and students benifited. As a whole the event was a grand success.
On 20.8.2024, Tuesday there was a training program regarding Menstrual Hygiene Management for College students in Vyasa Arts and Women’s College, Subramaniapuram at 10.30 am. Mrs. A. Krishna Shanthi, Union Resource Person from Tenkasi block created awareness regarding menstrual hygiene and about the diseases, precautions on the poor hygiene. 400 queens from 8 departments of our college got motivations and benefitted. We thank the management for permitting awareness programs among the young ones to be cautions in the present times.

The World Elephant Day has been celebrated in simple manner at seminar Hall, Vyasa Arts & Science women’s College Subramaniapuram. The Chief Guest official from forest Department, Sankarankovil (Forest), Puliyangudi. Mr.Arumugam, Ranger, Sankarankovil Forest Office, presided over the function and rendered a talk on awareness about the challenges in elephant conservation and their protection worldwide. Elephants are considered one of the friendliest animals on the earth and play an important role in balancing the ecosystem. Elephant Day emphasises addressing the challenges in their survival and habitat loss. It is an opportunity to make people aware of the importance of these wild animals and to take action to protect them. Our Tamil Department HOD, Dr S. Muthulakshmi gave welcome address and proposed vote of thanks. Our Zoology department Queens felt that the session was useful. On behalf of Zoology Department we thank our Chairman Sir, M.D. Madam and Principal Sir for organising the Programme.

The students of Department of Computer Science (I M.Sc CS, II M.Sc, I CS, II CS , III CS) attended the Orientation Seminar on the topic “ DATA ANALYSIS USING PYTHON ”, in the Seminar Hall. The Resource Person, Ms.T.BHARATHI started the session on , “how to collect the raw data” for Data Analysis and convert them into visual reports like charts, graphs etc. She explained about the benefits of Data Analysis and how to convert raw data into useful information for business development. She also explained about the opportunities for Data Analyst in different career sectors like Healthcare, Finance, Marketing, Government, etc. The Resource person ended the session with Guidelines on “how to prepare for the interview” and attend the same. The session went on more interactive with questions and answers.
M.S.University Commission visit for additional intake of Computer Science Course has been completed successfully. Prof. Dr.P.Arockia Jansi Rani , Department of Computer Science and Engineering, M.S.University was the Commission Member . Madam verified the Documents and Infrastructure. The Principal Dr.R.Eswaran, Exam Co-ordinator Mrs.S.Sujatha , HOD of CS Mrs.S.Lalitha were present in the Event.
The department of Physics, Kalasalingam University had organized a three days International conference. As a part of this, they permit to visit International Research Centre, located there. We, the staff and students of Physics department, of our college went to visit the International Research Centre on 02.08.2024, Friday. We have started sharply at 09:30am from our college and reach there at 11:00am. After a small refreshment, we visited the laboratory. Faculties there, explained the working of Scanning electron microscope (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Atomic absorption spectroscopy and explained, for what purpose they have been used. Also many project models were displayed and the working of those models were explained by the research students. Students listened to the things explained and some of them clarified their doubts too. At 02:15pm, we have departed from there and reached our college at 03:50pm.This one day visit have been very useful for the students in gathering ideas about their higher studies in research field.

On 16th July 2024, Tuesday at about 11.35a.m the Panel of three members from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University visited our college for further affiliation of existing courses and permanent affiliation for Zoology. The panel members were welcomed by our God Father Chairman Sir. They went through All Records, Class Rooms, Labs, and Faculties Details thoroughly and left the College at 2.15 p.m. They did their yeomen service, Guided us and offered their suggestions for the improving the strength of the College.
Totally there were 16 teams participated in the tournament. Our Vyasa queens secured Runner up position and won the cash prize of 15,000/- with a Trophy.
Nearly one week, the campus was full of fun, joy, thrill, what not? The Election was held as per Indian Constitution. There were totally 35 contestants for 5 posts. Students Council Secretary, College Pupil Leader, Assistant College Pupil Leader, Sports Secretary, and Assistant Sports Secretary. Application forms were issued on 05.07.2024. Nomination filing was there in a grand manner. Everyone was amazed by the execution of all department queens. Election campaign was there for 2 days. They did through Whats App also their manifesto. Election was conducted on 11th July, Thursday there were 12 booths with incharges. Procedures like Name verification, Ink keeping and Ballot papers issue. Voting area and ballot boxes were there. Managing Committee members like Chairman, Managing Director, Secretary and Vice Chairman casted their first votes. Then Principal, Exam Co-ordinator and HOD’s casted their votes. All faculty members and Non-teaching staff voted next. All Princess, Queens and Mega Queens casted their votes in their respective booths. For the first time in Vyasa’s career, Computer Science department alone Conducted election through digital mode!. Then at about 12.00 noon, counting was started. The leading candidates were informed and updated then and there. At 2.00 p.m, The results were announced
In was held in a grand manner. It was a full day programme. During the Morning Session, all the new students were dressed up as Princess and Mega Queens (P.G) with crowns and sash. They were brought to the Lobby as a procession with seniors, Professors accompanied and drums, dances, cartoon characters, department name boards, crackers were there. Management gave them with roses, gifts and sweets. Class room boards, doors and notice boards were decorated colourfully. In the Afternoon, department wise Queen entertained their department Princess with Theme based dances. In the whole, the newly admitted Freshers enjoyed the day to the core. It was a grand success.
Department of Commerce and Department of Business Administration in association with the Company Secretary , Maduarai Chapters, organized an awareness programme on Company Secretary – An Eyesight on 27.06.2024 at 10.30 a.m at seminar hall. 199 students participated in this programme from both commerce and BBA Departments. CS. Sri. S.Ramalingam, Practicing Company Secretary, Vice Chairman, Madurai Chapter, CS. Sri.ANS..Vijay (Practicing CS) , CS. Sri. S. Paramasivam, Company Secretary, and Sri. Raja, In-Charge Madurai Chapter delivered a key note address about the Company Secretary course, entrance exam procedure, number of subjects involved, eligibility criteria, fees structure, role of Company Secretary and salary packages. Sri. S.Ramalingam Practicing Company Secretary, Vice Chairman, Madurai Chapter narrated the significance of pursuing these kind of professional courses and augmentation of employable skills. Sri.ANS.Vijay (Practicing CS) and Sri. S. Paramasivam, Company Secretary highlighted the importance of doing CS course and discussed about the career opportunities available for the Company Secretary professionals in India. The queens of Vyasa gave positive feedback and all the participates were well satisfied with the programme, and this event throws light on participants to pursue the company secretaryship course in the future along with their UG degree.

In the august presence of our God father Chairman Sir, Dr.Velladurai Pandian, the International yoga day of 2024 is celebrated in Vyasa at the conference hall. All II Year arts group Vyasites were taken to the conference hall with the concerned subjects incharges. School children, 47 in number, of the three renowned schools arrived earlier and were seated in the hall as per the prior information. They are from , AVK INTERNATIONAL RESIDENTIAL SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL, SANKARANKOVIL, SRI JAYENDRA MATRIC HR.SEC. SCHOOL, SURANDAI &VIVEKA MATRIC HR.SEC. SCHOOL, SIVAGIRI Ms. A. Ashika and V. Shanthi priya of II B.Com compered for the event. The program begun with the silent prayer. Ms. J. Srimathi, II BA English welcomed the gathering. The Chief guests were honoured with shawl and mementoes by Our God father Chairman Sir, Dr.Velladurai Pandian, who then inaugurated the event with his introductory speech. Administrative officer Dr. Kalidurai conducted the session by demonstrating the asanas with the children of the above-mentioned schools.

இன்று வியாசா கலை மற்றும் அறிவியல் மகளிர் கல்லூரியில் International Yoga Day பெரும் விமர்சியாக கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. இதில் Viveka Matric. Hr. Sec. School, Sivagiri, A.V.K. International Residential Sr. Sec. School (Cbsc), மற்றும் Sri Jayaandra matric Higher Sec.School ஆகிய பள்ளிகளிலிருந்து சுமார் 50 மாணவ மாணவிகள் கலந்துகொண்டு யோகாசனங்கள் செய்து காட்டினர். மேலும், இதில் 155 வியாசா ராணியர்கள் கலந்துகொண்டு பயன்பெற்றனர். சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக வியாசா கல்லூரியின் சேர்மன் Dr.S.வெள்ளைதுரைபாண்டியன், அவரது சகோதரர் திரு.S.M.பாண்டியன், Smt.P.கற்ரபகவள்ளி பாண்டியன் கலந்து கொண்டு விழாவினை சிறப்பித்தனர்.

Vyasa, being one of the exam centres in Tamil Nadu, conducted the exam successfully. Out of 400 allotted candidates 77 were absent. The exam was conducted in 20 rooms. Arrangements like, guidance board, seating, register numbers with photos affixing, furniture, water, electricity, toilets were done by the Chief Examiner Dr.R.Eswaran, Mrs.S.Sujatha, Dr.P.Avoodaiammal and Non-teaching staff. Government officials like Revenue Inspector, flying squad were there in the college during exam hours. They felt very happy and satisfied with the way we conducted. Remuneration was disbursed immediately after the exam to all the 20 hall invigilators and other top-level officials. On the whole, it was a grand success!

Ms. J. Aysha Maahira – II MA English 2. Ms. M. Fathi Muthu Zuhra – II MA English 3. Ms. Farhaana Mohammed Rafi – II B.Sc. Computer Science From each University in the whole country, three students to be Nominated and Registered in the Month of November. Totally there should be 300 students Ambassadors in the whole Nation. From our university all the Three queens are from our college! Great! Thank God! In the National level our queens are going to Participate in UGC’s new Educational Reforms. We wholeheartedly congratulate our queens for this exemplary achievement. May the Almighty bless them abundantly in all their future endeavours.
The program was jointly organized by the Rotary Club of Courtallam Sakthi in hands with Vyasa Arts and Science Women’s College on the topic "Goal setting" at 11.00am.The Guest Speaker Rtn. Selva Alagu, Goo Digital (Digital Marketing) commenced his ideas on Goal Setting with an interesting game. Vyasites were divided into three groups and encouraged to participate the activity which was related to "Hear Vs Listen" procedure. They made the session enjoyable, learn and understood the importance of listening skills from that activity. Two of our queens Ms. S.S. Asma Barveen, III BA English Ms. Manju , III BA Tamil. got cash prize of Rs.100 each for their listening skill. The guest speaker spoke on GOAL SETTING. He instructed them to select a short term and a long term goal. And he insisted it to be a smart one, SMART in the sense: S-Specific, M-Measurable, A-Achievable, R-Realistic and T-Time Bound. Finally the session end with the activity related to Message-Conveyance.

Farewell Day: The farewell day function at Vyasa marked a bittersweet moment as we bid adieu to our graduating students who have spent memorable years enriching our campus with their talents, intellect, and camaraderie. The management presented a memento to all outgoing students as a token of love. It was a time to celebrate their achievements, reminisce about cherished moments, and wish them success in their future endeavors. Hostel Day: The hostel day celebration began with a flurry of activities, including Ramp walk, Cultural performances and games, creating an atmosphere of excitement and friendly competition. Our hostel warden Mrs. Mariselvi presented a thoughtful memento to the Vice Chairman Smt. Prakasavalli Sundar, Chairman Dr. Velladurai Pandian and the Managing Director Smt. Vellathai. As the night progressed, students indulged in delicious food. All the above occasions were astutely planned and well executed by the Vice-Chairman.
We have immense pleasure in announcing that the 2020 – 2023 Batch at Vyasa Arts & Science Women’s College has proved its strive for excellence by achieving the 1st Rank in the Tenkasi District among 17 Colleges affiliated to Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. To add feather to our cap, our Queens stood tall by achieving 2nd Rank among 137 Colleges affiliated to Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, covering four districts viz., Tenkasi, Thoothukudi, Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli. While we humbly thank the Almighty for the blessings showered on us in achieving this feat, huge congratulations to our dedicated Principal, Faculty team and Supporting Staff, whose incessant hard work and support made this achievement possible. This accomplishment reflects their relentless pursuit of excellence and commitment to academic success. Their dedication, leadership, and collaborative efforts have truly made a significant impact. The IV Batch had 261 students of which 35 have fetched University Ranks with just 8 courses.
The students of III B.Com. (59 Students) and III B.Sc. Computer Science (42 Students) have attended the Online Webinar on the topic, Women in Automation: Journey & Insights. The well-experienced Panellists from the tech world comprised of Ms. Swathi Sushilan, Ms. Lalasa Mulakaluri, Ms. Lovely Sinha, Ms. Harika Mudiam, have shared their career path and how they reached where they are now. They explained about the challenges they faced during their training session on Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and how they turned their challenges into opportunities and gained success. The students felt empowered with their learning from the practical experience of the panellists.
In view of enhancing the students’ capability in a competitive world, our Physics Department and the Placement cell in association with Veranda Race Academy, Tirunelveli, organized the career guidance programme on Career path to the Competitive Aspirants on 20.03.2024, Wednesday at 11 a.m. Final year students (208 candidates) have attended the programme at a seminar hall. Mr.Lingam, TNPSC Team Expert, delivered a keynote address on the topic with motivational stories. He encouraged the students to go extra mile in whatever they do in life, explained the importance of holding a government job, available competitive exams – known and unknown facts, awareness on TNPSC, Railway, SSC, UPSC, IBPS and other related exams. He made the students to understand the need for studying for the competitive exams, job security and the opportunities available in the competitive exams. Through this programme, students have gained the knowledge on various competitive exams, the opportunities associated with it and the future path towards success.
Third Graduation Day was held successfully on 9 March 2024. Dr. Prof. Chandrasekar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and he awarded 321 Degree Certificates inclusive of 29 University Rank Holders and 2 Gold medalists. Hon’ble Vice President shared words of wisdom, encouragement and reflection with the Graduating Class. The Vice Chairman, Smt. Prakasavalli, presented the Graduation Report. The Secretary of the College Dr. S .Sundar officially inaugurated the Ceremony and the College Principal Dr. R. Eswaran dissolved the Ceremony. The graduates took pledges and H.O.Ds presented their Department Candidates. College Chairman Dr. S. Velladuarai Pandian and the Managing Director Smt. V. Vellathai were present. Parents were brimming with pride to witness the entire Graduation Ceremony of the Students. At the end, the management served delicious lunch to all Graduates and the Guests.
7th Annual college Day was celebrated in a Grand manner on 8th March 2024, Friday between 5.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Sri.SridharVembu, Padmasri Awarde, Head & CEO of Zoho Technologies Private Ltd was the Chief Guest. Sri.A.Ananthan, head, startup-Tenkasi and Founder of Mattram,Munnetram Foundation Presided over the Function. Both of them were honoured by the Management, and their Speeches were Inspirational, thought provoking and special Emphasis was given to women’s power and Importance of women’s Education. Deserved Faculties and Students including Two Gold Medalists were awarded with shields and Merit Certificates. Cultural events with the theme of Mergence were colourful and attractive. Every body enjoyed thoroughly. Welcome speech was given by Students Secretary Miss. Aayisha Maheera, and Vote of Thanks by Miss.S.Harsmitha. Vice Chairman Presented Annual Report. Chairman Dr.Velladuarai Pandian, Managing Director Smt.vellathai, Secretary Dr.Sundar, were present. Principal, Exam- coordinator, A.O, H.O.Ds, all Teaching and Non-Teaching faculties organised and conducted the function very well. Huge gathering was there. Delicious dinner was served at last! As a part of our Career Guidance Programme, the college placement cell in association with Infact Pro Trainers Pvt.Ltd organized two days offline course on Banking and Finance on 23.02.2024 & 24.02.2024 at 10 a.m., at a Seminar Hall. Resource Persons(s) : Shri.Janaki raman., Ex-Chief officer, Central Bank of India, Chennai. Day 1: 23.02.2024 (Friday) He outlined the contents of the course titled Banking and Finance. He stressed the importance and the development of Banking and Insurance sectors around us. He deliberately explained the BSFI sectors, key performance, positive outlook in an Indian scenario, overview of BFSI Industry, private and public sector banks, financial services, evolution of money and banking, phases of digital banking, financial intermediaries and deposit services, etc., Day 2: 24.02.2024 (Saturday) In the second day class, he traced out the concepts of retail loans, retail stores, financial assets, credit scoring, account management, payment products, correspondent bank, Cheque transactions, NEFT transfer, RTGS, Debit card, Credit card, travel card, Cheque truncation System, Demat account, share transfer, CTS security and career avenues available in the Banking, financial institution and the Insurance industry. This course sketched the outfit of the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance sectors.
As a part of our MOU with Livewire, Tenkasi, the college has organized a one day orientation programme on Business Accounting and Finance in association with Livewire, Tenkasi., on 21.02.2024 at 10 a.m., at a Conference Hall. Resource Persons Were: Sri.S.M.Abdul Gafoor., M.C.A., Center Head, Livewire. Sri. R.Shanmugapriya., M.Sc., Business Consultant & Trainer, Livewire. Sri.S.M.Abdul Gafoor outlined the participants on Digital job opportunities in Business Accounting, Finance, and various pertinent software, GST calculation terminologies, maintaining Customer Relationship Management with the customized work structure. He specifically touched upon the application based TALLY ERP 4.0 version, filing returns, accounting management, inventory management and E-way bill preparation and its practical functioning. 196 Students from B.Com & M.Com and 9 faculty members from the Commerce Department have actively participated and immensely benefitted from the session.
Department of Commerce and Entrepreneurship Development Cell of the college in association with Livewire organized a one day workshop on “Evolving Landscape on Intellectual Property Rights: Navigating and opportunities in a Digital Age” on 21.02.2024 (Wednesday) at a Seminar Hall. Resource Person : Shri. R. Sudharshan., MBA., Business Head, Livewire Chennai. Shri. R. Sudharshan delivered a keynote address on Intellectual Property Rights. He outlined the key concepts of patents for new inventions, design, trademark, trade secrets, copyright for the literary work, geographical indicators, legal provisions, legal protection, startup proceedings, strategic decision-making process, government framework on IPR and the requirements to upgrade IPR for the business potentials. He also explained the other frameworks of IPR such as plant varieties, industrial designs and layout designs. Totally 196 candidates from M.Com and B.Com have attended the programme. This programme enlightened the students’ on various concepts of IPR and its applications in the professional life.
The session was on the impact of climate changes and its causes. The Programme was inaugurated by District Collector Mr. A.K.Kamal Kishore, and organised by Dr. Murugan Health Department, Collector Office, Tenkasi. Resource Persons were: 1. Mr. Prabakaran - Poovulakin Nanban 2. Dr. R.Malarvizhi - Anna University, Researcher in Climate and Climatic Changes 3. Mr. VigneshKumar - Department of Climatic Change 4. Dr. A. Thanigaivel - Assistant Researcher 5. Dr. Vijayalakshmi - ExNoRa The entire session was insightful and the resource persons shared various research findings and innovative approaches to addressing the global challenge. The key aspects discussed in the session were: A) What is Climate change? B) Is climatic change true? C) Who is responsible for climatic Change? D) What is the Solution or Climatic Changes? At the end of the session, the participants were encouraged to embark on the journey towards climate resilience and environmental stewardship.
As a part of our Career Guidance Programme, our college has organized an one day orientation programme on Banking and Finance in association with Infact Pro Trainers [OPC] Pvt.Ltd and Cambtech Training and Placement [OPC] Ltd., on 07.02.2024 at 10 a.m., at Seminar Hall. Dr. Balaji Iyer, Managing Director, Infract Pro Pvt. Ltd., addressed the gathering and gave a detailed explanation about the job opportunities in Banking and Finance sector, skill enhancement terminologies, stock exchanges and its functionalities, future scope, empowering women workforce in the employment, interview modes, scale of pay in the public and private sector banks, responsibility of students. Totally students 252 students and 10 faculty members of commerce and BBA attended the meeting and got benefitted.

Ms.K.Prabha Tamil Department has won Gold Medal in the Major Tamil Subject 2. Ms.M.Malliga who is also from Tamil department, surprisingly has won Gold Medal in the Part II General English Subject. Great!. We the Management, Principal, Exam Coordinator, HODs, Faculty Members, Non-teaching faculties and all Vyasa queens extend hearty congratulations to them.
For the first time in Vyasa’s career our 80 queens of third year had attended IITM entrance exam on 24.1.2024. This was new to them. Most of them studied through Tamil Medium. So before 15 days our HODs & other faculty members gave intense coaching regarding the exam in various fields. They also took one mock test on 23.1.2024. Now they have reaped the results. Out of 80 queens 52 have passed out and emerged victorious in the exam. Great! It is another milestone in their pathway. So the Management, Principal and everyone felicitated and congratulated the passed out queens. The next step is to going to be that they are going to attend online or offline classes very soon. Thanks to the Almighty!
Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII – TN) of our Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli organized a workshop on Intellectual Property Rights on 01.02.2024 at 1.30 am., in an online mode. Our college, III B.Com students along with the faculty members of commerce attended this programme at Seminar Hall. In this programme, the EDII Tamil Nadu coordinator and Thiru. A.B.Rajasekaran, SV & R partners, explained the concepts related to Intellectual Property Rights such as copy rights, Patent, inventions, trade mark symbols, distinctive symbols, term of the tenure, plant varieties and Farmer’s rights, ideas on wealth, creating innovation, protections on copyright and maximizing wealth, etc., This programme contributed the knowledge based awareness and outcome based conceptual background on Intellectual Property Rights to the mentor, faculty members and the student communities..

Industrial Visit was arranging at ISRO, Mahendragiri on 25.01.2024 for the Second & Third Year of B.Sc. Mathematics Students. 51 Students & 4 Faculty Members of Department of Mathematics visited on the day. ISRO officials explained about the different types of Satellites used for communications and their needs. In addition, they have seen the movement of Satellite against Earth Gravitational force in different stages. Through this visit the students gained knowledge about Space technology and knowing the applications of Mathematics in that area . The Faculty Development Programme had started January 22,with the introductory part of the Resource Person Dr. Rosaliya from Cambridge, the training partner of Naan Mudhalvan Scheme. The very first day, she had shown the feed back from the students as well as the faculties those attend that programme earlier. Then, she introduce the title of the programme and the importance of language. We were engaged with group activities like speak with confidence, ice breaking sessions. They were very interesting to do. Pair and group activities lead us to know about the faculties presented there. She had introduced their notion and motto towards the goal. They issued pamphlets and books. The very next day we were gone through micro teaching and the upskill programme through the upskill app. We were tested and got practiced LSRW skills and finally we got the results from the app. Finally we gave the feedback to her. The session was ended with the feedback session and distribution of the certificate. In the feedback some of the participants expressed to have their willingness to attend more programmes of this kind.
The seminar on "CONTENT WRITING " In special focus on Resume Writing, Copy Writing and Research was conducted by Mrs.G.S.Vimal Gnanamani M.A., M.Phil., B.Ed., (Ph.D) for III B.Sc.Physics, Chemistry, Zoology Vyasites in the Seminar Hall at 3.10pm. The resource person presented the topics through power point presentation. The areas focused were the Introduction and scope of Content writing, Copy Writing, Model Resumes were shown, new format one page resumes,tips for effective Research Writing, Content and copy Writing were presented.Students found it useful and were actively involved. Ms.Subbulakshmi from III Chemistry and Ms. S H Nasiba from III Zoology came presented their feedbacks at the end of the session.
The seminar on "HOW TO WRITE A SUCCESSFUL RESEARCH PAPER" was conducted by Mrs. K. P. Jeba kapal M.A., M.Phil., B.Ed., (Ph.D) for III B.Com and I. M.com vyasites in the Seminar Hall at 1.10pm. The resource person presented the topics through power point presentation. The areas covered were Research topic, the art of writing, content writing, language skills, understanding of expectations, tones in writing, structured and evidenced interpretation, hypothesis formation, relevant data, avoid plagiarism and accuracy of report. Students found it useful and were actively involved. Ms. Saratha and Ms. Fathima from III B.com came presented their feedbacks at the end of the session.
The seminar on " FORMAT OF A RESEARCH PAPER" was conducted by Mrs. G. ANGEL PRIYIADARSHINI M.A., M.Phil., B.Ed., NET., (Ph.D) for the MA English students. The session was held for one hour in the Seminar Hall. The discussed were format of front page, page set up in text citation, footnote, and works cited list. The session came to its end with feedback from the students.

They also raised some questions and got answers from them. Amidst the rainy weather and University’s postponed examination conduction, the celebrations were held in the Afternoon session on two days. This year’s theme was Tamilian’s 5 different Lands, their culture & tradition, their values and valour, their handi-crafts and their entertainment past and present. Each department was given each topic on lot. They worked very hard & exhibited models with explanation. It was very Educative and Effective. Every one enjoyed. The Management on its part had constructed “CHIRU VEEDU” with CHEER VARISAI. Arts and science groups cooked Ven Pongal and Sweet Pongal and offered to Surya God. All 300 Cheer varisai plates things were given to all relatives and non-teaching staff like Drivers, Ayahs and Sweepers. The first day’s event was ended with this. Second day was more entertaining. Dances & Dramas were put based on their theme. Chairman Sir, Managing Director Madam, Secretary Sir, Principal Sir, Exam Co-ordinator, All H.O.Ds, Professors, non-teaching faculties and all Vyasa Queens participated and enjoyed thoroughly. It was a grand success. Thanks to the Almighty for His Manifold Blessings in making this event a Cherishable and Memorable one!
A Faculty Development Programme was organized from 8th to 12th January 2024 at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University on the above mentioned topic. This was a five days Faculty Development Programme where various related subtopics were discussed in detail by eminent trainees and very academic environment was experienced by the participants. The FDP was started on 8th January, 2024 with the Lamp Lightening ceremony followed by Tamil Thai Vaalthu. The Dignitaries were welcomed by the Registrar, Dr. J. Sacratees Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. In the inaugural speech, Naan Mudhalvan Coordinator Dr. A. suruliandi emphasis on the importance and objectives of organizing faculty development programme. In the afternoon session was addressed by Graphic designer, Mr. Devarajan. He started his discussion on “Graphic Design”. He explained about the application Adobe Express for making Collage, Awareness Post, Social media post, Advertisement post, Logo, Infographics, Flyer, Browser, Event poster (Invitation), Newsletter, Package design, Magazine. On the Second day, Mr. Devarajan started his discussion about how to make Collage, Awareness post, Social Media Post Advertisement post, Logo, Info graphics in the application Adobe Express. At the end of the session, they have given the task for each topics. Every faculty members gave good response to this interactive session. On the Third day (10.01.2024), Graphic Artist, Mr. Anand explained about Event Poster, Brochure, Flyer and Newsletter. On the fourth day (11.01.2024). They have covered how to make Magazine, Package design. Meanwhile Mr. Buvanesh, and Mr. karthik, they have cleared our doubts. At last, we have completed all twelve task at the end of the session in each day. On the Fifth day, FDP was ended with feedback session and distribution of the certificate. In the feedback participants have expressed their interest and willingness in arranging more programmes of this kind.

Our Fourth N.S.S Special camp was held at Thalaivankottai Village. Due to the Conduction of postponed University Semester Exam, the valedictory function was held ½ day earlier. N.S.S Volunteers of 50 numbers with N.S.S in-charge stayed at a Mandapam situated in the village temple campus. The camp was inaugurated on 03/01/2024, Tuesday, by the President of the village Mrs. Sharmila. Daily, volunteers gotup at 5.00 a.m, did Yoga, and Meditation. Temple, Church, cleaning, Awareness creation, statistics taking, 108 Ambulance service, Fire service prevention and First Aid Demos, Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital’s, Eye free Special camp, conduction of Kolam competition for ladies, with Prize distribution to the winners, cleaning of schools, special speech on parental care, and teaching Meditation etc, were held on all days. Nutritious food was served daily. University’s N.S.S Co-ordinator Dr. Velliappan participated, and spoke about the Importance and Motto of N.S.S camp. He discussed with all Volunteers and got feedback about the camp. Daily between 4.30 p.m and 5.30 p.m cultural events on different themes like cultivation of good values, drama on Importance of Character development, debate on the need of Unity and virtues and colourful dances were held and entertained the public, parents, children and all who attended. The valedictory function was held on 08/01/2024, overall report was presented. Daily only students did welcome speech, compering part and vote of thanks. 20 celebrities of the village were invited and honoured.one best service group was awarded with trophies. On the whole the purpose was served, people were benefitted and it was a Grand Success. Thanks to the Almighty, Chairman Sir, Managing Director Madam, Secretary Sir, and Professors who had participated and made this event a Memorable one!
An awareness program on “Accident Free Diwali” was organized by the Management of Vyasa Arts and Science Women’s College, Subramaniapuram on 9.11.2023, Thursday by the Fire service department, Tamilnadu, Vasudevanallur Division at 11.00 pm in the college campus. Dr.S.Saratha Nellainayaki, HOD, Department of Maths welcomed the gathering. The program was headed by Vasudevanallur Fire station officer Mr.M.Karupasamy and by Vasudevanallur Fire station Transport officer Mr.G.Murugan. On behalf of the management, our College Principal Dr.R.Eswaran facilitated the dignitaries with shawls and sweets. The facilitation address was given by Vasudevanallur Fire station officer Mr.M.Karupasamy and the awareness speech was delivered by Vasudevanallur Fire station Transport officer Mr.G.Murugan. They brief about the steps to prevent fire as “Prevention is always is better than cure”. A team of 8 members from the fire service department created awareness among the college students with the lifesaving equipment which they brought and performed a demonstration on how to extinguish if a fire happened in our real life scenario. Finally the session concluded by the vote of thanks delivered by Dr.S.Saratha Nellainayaki.

Engineering Manager Mr.Raisudeen Syed Gani and the Founder, TRUSTGRID.AI , Mr.B.V.Raman were the Resource Persons . Mr.Ananthan inaugurated the function and narrate about Why the Event? Why now? Why here? Then Mr.Raisudeen delivers his session on the topic Emerging AI/ML. He presented about the Basics of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Different areas where AI is applied and concluded with the challenges in AI. Mr.B.V.Raman presented details about the areas where AI job opportunities are there ,how much demand in present and future ?, and how to prepare for those Jobs. The Participants gained the following : - Understand the Global &India Talent - Understand Skill Landscape for AI/RPA Jobs - Simplified Roadmap for Preparing AI/RPA Career. The program begun with the silent prayer. Mrs. C. G. Karthiga Devi, AP/English welcomed the gathering. Dr. Eswaran, Principal, honored the speaker with a memento. The motivational speaker Mrs. S. RAJA KAMELESHWARI begun the session by stimulating the subconscious memory power. The speaker motivated our queens to make assurance: I WILL DO IT. She taught about self-confidence, hard work, persistence, effective learning and career achievements. She insisted importance on communication in attending UPSC examination. Finally, she presented the syllabus for UPSC prelims and gave tips & tricks to score UPSC mains examination. All II year queens were actively involved in the motivation given by the speaker. The meeting was organized by the Joint Secretary of UGC, for Vice Chancellors and Principals of Tamil Nadu. The prime objective of the meeting is to discuss about transferring the credits SWAYAM and NPTEL. Nearly 140 participants were there in the meeting that includes, Vice chancellors, Deans and Principals of various colleges. At first the joint Secretary made a Power Point presentation, and spoke about SWAYAM and NPTEL and he stressed all the Universities and Colleges in Tamil Nadu to reinforce the students in large number to enroll in SWAYAM and NPTEL courses, not to stop just with registration but to appear for the final exam. After the presentation Joint Secretary asked all the participants to give their valuable inputs and suggestions to make the students to enroll in the courses. Some suggestions were given such that exam centers to be allocated in the districts itself, exam could be conducted bilingually , they requested a revision in the exam fee as it is Rs.1000 for a paper, it is too expensive for the poor students to afford etc. Surely this kind of courses enhancing the skills of the students and helps to move on their jobs easily.
The Department of Physics had organised one day seminar on 25th october 2023 in seminar hall. The title of the seminar was “Preparation of Thin films by SILAR Method”. The program started at 11:30 am with the welcome address by our 3rd year student Ms.A.Divyasundari. The dignitaries on the dais were our Principal Dr.R.Eswaran, our Department HOD Dr.G.Subhapriya and our resource person Dr.J.Henry. Opening remarks and introduction of the program was given by our 2nd year student Ms.M.S.Amal sadia. Our Department HOD Dr.G.Subhapriya introduced our resource person and briefed about his journey in this field. In the morning session, our chief guest gave a lecture on Thin films and different methods of preparing Thin films. He also explained its applications in various fields. Our students understood the topic and asked some doubts too. Our chief guest cleared all the doubts of the students. The program wrapped up around 1:00 pm. The vote of thanks was given by our 3rd year student Ms.S.Jeyachitra. We express our gratitude towards our Management and Principal for giving us permission to conduct such a wonderful event and for making it a great success.
The Trainer, Mr. Sabari shared the experiences he had in the company as a HR. He presented the climate of the work environment, the rules and regulations followed in the company and the recruitment process. Then he elaborated the internship part with the offers given by the company. He also added the shift system allocated by the company explaining its profits. The topics like sales, construction, production, manufacturing electrical, hardware, and consultancy were explained (related to the job offered). Almost 75% of our queens came forward and spoke courageously on the situation presented to them. Through that team spirit, leadership qualities and problem solving abilities were evaluated. An interaction was held, where our queens actively participated and got their doubts clarified. Later a motivational video was presented explaining the tactics of interviews. It helped our queens to envision the expectations of the company.

Ms. P.Kalyana Sundari and Ms.S.Lalitha(HOD) gave training to IITM screening test students in the topic “How to Face and Take Students learned well and it was helpful to participate in any kind of online tests. Online Exam?”. In this they explained the method to select the options, way to switch over to the next questions, and its whole processing in detailed manner.
Mrs.M.M.Barakath Jamila, AP/English & Ms.S.Mahalakshmi AP/English were handled the General English for IITM Screening Test candidates. They taught some skimming and scanning methods to comprehend the paragraph. The session was very interactive. Students were very attentive. They asked questions to the students and clarified the doubts. For further reference, they have sent some competitive exam PDFs to the students to work out further.

In the last 20 Minutes, Dr.S.Saratha Nellainayaki, Head, Department of Mathematics gave the blueprint on the workings of Coding and Decoding. Finally, they sent a pdf copy to the interested candidates in Logical Reasoning for further practice. Surely It was a nice platform for enhancing the students’ potentiality to the hike level.
07.10.2023, சனிக்கிழமையன்று சுப்பிரமணியபுரம் வியாசா கலை மற்றும் அறிவியல் மகளிர் கல்லூரியின் நாட்டுநலப்ணித்திட்டமும் மற்றும் தமிழ்நாடு தீயணைப்பு – மீட்புபணிகள் துறையும் இணைந்து தகவல் அறியும் உரிமை சட்டம் 2005 குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்துவதற்காக மாணவியர்களிடையே கட்டுரைப் போட்டி நடத்தப்பட்டது. இப்போட்டியில் 110 வியாசா கல்லூரி ராணிகள் கலந்து கொண்டனர். வாசுதேவநல்லூர் தீயணைப்பு மீட்புபணித்துறை நிலையஅலுவலர் உயர்திரு. கருப்பையா அவர்கள் மாணவியர்களுக்கு தகவல் அறியும் உரிமைச்சட்டம் குறித்து ஆலோசனை வழங்கினார். இப்போட்டியில் வெற்றிபெற்ற மாணவியர்களுக்கு பரிசுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டது. இவ்விழா ஏற்பாடுகளை கல்லூரி நிர்வாகம், முதல்வர் ஆர். ஈஸ்வரன் மற்றும் நாட்டு நலப்பணித்திட்ட அலுவலர் முனைவர். பொ. ஆவுடையம்மாள் செய்திருந்தனர்.
‘மாபெரும் தமிழ்க் கனவு’ என்னும் இந்நிகழ்வு இனிதே நடைபெற்றது. இந்நிகழ்வில் தென்காசி மாவட்ட வருவாய் அலுவலர் திருமதி பத்மாவதி அவர்கள் மற்றும் வணிகவியல் பேராசிரியர், பேச்சாளர் திருமிகு அருணன் அவர்கள் ஆகியோர் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக வருகை புரிந்து நிகழ்ச்சியைச் சிறப்பித்தனர். இதில் நம் கல்லூரி மாணவிகள் 3 பேர் வெற்றிப் பெற்றனர். மூன்று பேருக்கும் ‘பெருமிதச் செல்வி’ ‘கேள்வி நாயகி’ என்ற பெயர்களுடன் சான்றிதழ்களும், பரிசுகளும் வழங்கப்பட்டது.. நிகழ்விற்கு மேலும் சிறப்பு சேர்க்கும் விதமாக ‘இராஜராஜசோழனின் பெருமையைப் பறைசாற்றும் காணொளியும், ‘மாபெரும் தமிழ்க் கனவு’ என்னும் சிறப்புக் காணொளியும் காட்சிப்படுத்தப்பட்டது. இந்நிகழ்வு மாணவியருக்கு மிகவும் பயனுள்ளதாக இருந்தது.
As planned, Students of the Chemistry Department visited M/s. Vetrivel Firms on 05-10-2023 (Thursday) to observe curcumin extraction from mother turmeric by industrial processes. As part of gaining practical knowledge for the Chemistry students, this industrial visit was proposed and carried out successfully. We wish to state that 36 (Thirty six) students were in attendance and 5 (Five) Faculties including the Lab Assistant. In this exercise, we have started from our College at 9:55 am and reached the M/s. Vetrivel Firms, Panpozhi at 10:50 am safely. We owe a debt of gratitude for the Officials of M/s. Vetrivel Firms. The Management and the Officials of the M/s. Vetrivel Firms were quite receptive and offered refreshments prior to starting the visit. After a brief discussion with the Officials of the Factory, we have segregated the students batch-wise so as to carry out the visit seamlessly. Further, they have allotted a team of Technicians headed by a Scientist to explain the curcumin extraction process to the students concisely. Our students made a note of the processes and observed the methods and technicalities. The above visit was quite useful to the students, as they witnessed the industrial processes of curcumin extraction. We are quite grateful to the College Management for extending their support to make this Industrial visit a successful one and we wish to state that the advance money was handed over to the College Management, as it was unused by us.
The Campus was full with Politicians, M.L.A’s, Government Officials like Joint Director, Joint Secretary, P.R.Os, D.R.Os etc. The session began at 10.30 a.m in the underground conference hall. Honorable.Thiru.Avoodaiyappan, the Ex.Speaker, Presided over the function distributed the prizes to the winners, and gave special Address. The prize winners were, 1. I Prize – Rs. 3000/- Cash & Merit Certificate by Ms.Kavipriya. 2. II Prize – Rs. 2000/- Cash & Merit Certificate by Ms.Suriyakala. 3. Rs. 1000/- Cash & Merit Certificate by Ms.Sajitha. Everybody enjoyed and felicitated.
Nearly 110 Queens with 10 Professors went to Kanyakumari as an industrial visit of “GANDHHI MANDAPAM”. Before visiting that, Queens enjoyed taking bath in Thiruparappu Falls. Then they visited PADMANABA PALACE. Amidst drizzling, they went to GANDHI MANDAPAM. There they took pledge. After little window shopping, they returned happily at 9.00 p.m. They felt, it was very useful.
Sixteen Vyasites from the Department of Commerce with Three Faculty members participated in five competitions. Eight leading colleges participated. In the short film category 13 Teams participated. out of 13, our Queens emerged victorious and bagged first prize. In the Dance competition of 20 teams, our team got second prize. our college won the Runners up Trophy on the whole. The Management, Principal & Everyone congratulated the Queens and wished them to bring many more Laurels. BEST WISHES!
Mrs. G.Angel Priyadarshini, UBA Coordinator attended a one day workshop on " Localization of Sustainable Development Goals" organized by UBA and St.Xavier's College. The workshop is how to localize the government programmes like MSME and PMEGP to the adopted villages through college UBA.
“SUCCESS IS NO ACCIDENT. IT IS HARD WORK, PERSEVERANCE LEARNING, STUDYING, SACRIFICE AND MOST OF ALL LOVE OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING” Yes, this batch’s result is a witness. 1. All appeared 324 students passed out and 100% results. 2. There are 29 university rank holders totally with two gold medals. 3. Over all, the college gets First Rank in the Tenkasi District and Sixth Rank in the University level of Four Districts, result wise. It proves that hard work in honest means never fails and certainly be rewarded. The Management congratulated Principal, Exam Co-ordinator, HODs, Faculty members and others who contributed for this success. Special appreciation and Blessings goes to the beloved Queens who worked hard and achieved! On the Graduation Day, apart from the degrees, they will be honoured with Silver Medals, and on the Annual Day, the Two Gold Medalists will be honoured with Gold Rings! This is not an end, many more laurels, our Queens are going to bring. First batch just 200 students with five courses and there were Five University Ranks! Second Batch just 290 students with Six courses and they secured 25 University ranks with one Gold Medal. So, now also this is the success story of third batch! Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Department of Commerce and Business Administration of our college jointly organized a workshop on “Stepping Stone towards Women Entrepreneurship” on 22.09.2023. Totally 247 M.Com, B.Com and BBA students actively participated in this programme. Smt. P.Mariammal, General Manager and Deputy Director, District Industries Center, Tenkasi addressed the gatherings. She enlightened the prominence of having Skill Development among students. She insisted our students to get awareness on various Prime Minister Schemes and other State and Central Government schemes available for the young women potential entrepreneurs. Sri.G.Simiyon, Assistant Director, MSME, Govt. of India, Ministry of MSME, Tirunelveli delivered a key note address. He explained the marketing strategies adopted by the innovative entrepreneurs, various funding schemes, innovative idea generations and the financial assistance for the entrepreneurial excellence. Sri.P.Ganesan, Lead District Manager, IOB, Tenkasi District expressed his experiences with the students. He enlightened the importance of having financial literacy and financial support offered by the Banks to the growing entrepreneurs. Sri. Veeravel, Junior Employment Officer, Tenkasi District motivated and guided our students by way of giving awareness about State and Central Government Exams, preparation tips and making the students to get aspiration on the Government jobs. This programme paves a right path to the students to acquire the basic awareness about leading loan for entrepreneurs especially in women entrepreneurship programme.
A batch of 148 students of Computer Science Department along with the faculty members of the department visited Zoho Technologies Private Ltd. at Mathalamparai, Tenkasi District. We started from our college at 9.30 a.m and reached there at 10:45 a.m. The senior manager gave us a warm welcome and our Respected Chairman Sir was honored. Then Ms.Swetha, Zoho employee shared the History , Working Nature and Recruitment Process. Finally, there was an interaction session with our students for clearing the doubts raised by our students. Our students interacted very well. Then all went a small tour to work Area. They provided Delicious Lunch and departed from there at 2:00 p.m and reached our college at 3:20 p.m. The students were benefited from this visit as well as enjoyed well. We are grateful to our Management and Principal for giving us permission for this one-day Industrial Visit.
Three Competitions like drawing, short stories and poems competitions were held. Totally there were 136 participants. From these the best four were selected by the Managing Director Madam for prizes and certificates. On 20th September drama competitions was held. Twenty students participated and amongst those two batches Mathematics department was the winner and Computer Science was the runners. For the all above prizes and merit certificates were distributed by Chairman Sir at 1.30p.m in the lobby. On the whole an awareness was created through this programme.
The Department of Physics had organized one day seminar on 20th September 2023 in seminar hall. The theme of the seminar was “Contemporary trends in Physics”. The program started at 10:30 AM with the welcome address by our III year student Ms.S.Jeychitra. The dignitaries on the dais were our Principal Dr.R.Eswaran, our exam coordinator Mrs. S.Sujatha and our resource person Dr.N. Boomadevi and Head of the Department Dr.G.Subhapriya. Opening remarks and introduction of the program was given by our II year student Ms.M.S.Amal sadia. Our Department HOD Dr.G.Subhapriya introduced our resource person and briefed about her journey in this field. In the morning session, our chief guest gave a lecture on different Nuclear models and she explained it with several examples. So that, our students understood the topic easily. In the afternoon session, she conducted a quiz program and a game related to Physics for our students. The students participated enthusiastically. The program wrapped up around 3:00 PM. Our III year student Ms.A.Divyasundari gave the vote of thanks. We express our gratitude towards our Management and Principal for giving us permission to conduct such a wonderful event and for making it a great success.

The DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH conducted a seminar cum cultural feast on 15.9.23, Friday. The morning seminar session was conducted by the resource person Dr. S. Krishna Devi, Asst. Prof. Department of English, Sri Parasakthi College for Women, Courtallam. The seminar on “THE PORTRAYAL OF WOMEN IN FAIRYTALES” in the forenoon was very useful. Six of our UG and PG queens came forward to give their feedback on the spot out of their own interest. The session was vibrant with effective interactions of our queens. The resource person amazed at our queens discipline during the seminar. She also added her gratitude for the high-level hospitality of our management. The afternoon cultural feast was even more effective and vibrant as 80% of the English vyasites were involved in it and the remaining of the vyasites were involved in helping the performers offstage. There were events like: 1. DANCE, 2. MIME, UG English enacted a mime on the theme: BE VIGILANT & SMART WHILE USING SOCIAL MEDIA 3. LITERARY PARADE: By Presenting, the Literary Parade our queens gathered the knowledge of famous literary characters. The characters paraded are: ROMEO & JULIET, ANTONY & CLEOPATRA, & THE PRINCE & CINDRELLA. 4. SPEECH: An introduction to English literature and the staging of English drama was presented as speech by first year princess. 5. TABLEAU: The stages of human life from Shakespeare’s As You Like It by Jacques was picturised by UG Queens. 6.DRAMA: Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream was stage-played by our PG Mega Queens. 7.SPEECH Ms. Jaseema from I BA English gave a speech on Women Empowerment 8. DUMB ACT Ecstasy of Rita Joe, a Canadian Play by George Ryga was well presented by our UG Queens. 9. MONO ACT: An excellent Mono Act was presented by UG Queens of all the three years in a much rewarding manner. 10. DANCE: A final dance with joyous mode was the final presentation of the day.
In Vyasa Arts and Science Women’s College, Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Department of Commerce and Business Administration organised an one day Sale Programme on the title “VYASA COM PLAZA ‘23” on 15.09.2023 (Friday). This programme was inaugurated by our college Chairman Shri.S.Velladurai Pandiyan and our Managing Director Smt. V.Vellathai by lighting Kuthuvizhakku. It is a team work organised by all 255 students of Commerce and BBA. They have arranged various stalls like Food centre, Cosmetics Centre, and Games Unit, Party Hall, Karoki Hall. In this centre, students prepared various food items by themselves and sold it to all others. This centre covers, the preparation of Tea, Cotton Seed Milk, Coffee, Morning Breakfast items, Samosa, Sweets like gram Sweets, Seasame Sweets, Gulopjamun, Paanipoori, Masala Poori, Cabbage Pakkoda, Mango Pieces, Stalls like 90s kids, dress materials, fancy items, soap oil and others. Students created a party hall and they received a great welcome from both students and faculty side. Nearly 10 games were arranged to attract the students. All the sale amount can be compared with their cost estimation schedule and finally the profit position of each stall be analysed by the Finance Executive and the faculty incharge of finance. We express our sincere gratitude to our Management for permitting us to arrange this programme and make this into the successful programme.
A team of 5 members from Sri Parasakthi College, Courtallam visited our College and marked the area for Biogas plant and vermicompost unit. An area was given for Installing Honey bee hive also.
A batch of 38 students of Physics Department along with the faculty members of the department visited SUZLON Wind Mill at Thevarkulam, Tirunelveli District. Our main purpose for this visit is to get the practical knowledge of Electrical Power Generation through Renewable Energy source. We started from our college at 10:00 a.m and reached there at 11:30 a.m. At the beginning, the site manager gave us a warm welcome and explained us about the different units functioning there such as MTC, CTC etc., Also, they showed us a PPT presentation explaining the manufacturing and functioning of Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) and explained about production capacities of Electrical Power as well as job opportunities to visit NIWE and CWET websites. They interacted with our students and cleared the doubts raised by our students. Our students gathered all the information’s given by them. Then we finished our lunch and departed from there at 2:20 p.m and reached our college at 3:20 p.m. From this visit, we got the information and practical knowledge about Power generation through Wind mills. We were benefited from this visit as we got the chance for the discussion with In-charge officer and the site manager. We are grateful to our management and our Principal for giving us permission for this one-day Industrial visit.
The Department of Mathematics of Vyasa Arts and Science Women’s college organized a one day seminar on 13.9.2023 the seminar started with a silent prayer. The respected Principal sir, Exam Coordinator mam along with all the faculty members of the department of Mathematics participated the seminar. The resource person was Mr.R.Hariharakrishnan, Coordinator of Kalvi Paravai. All 74 queens of our department participated in the seminar. All the queens were happy about the day and the seminar was a grand success. Thank you for the opportunity!
M.D Madam and Principal Sir gave blessings and instructions to Staffs and Students. The bus started from our college at 10.15 am with a prayer. Last but not least I thank my Lovable students who made this tour a wonderful and a memorable one. Both the days were filled with Joy and Enthusiastic. On 05/09/2023, Nearly 100 Vyasites from all departments, acted as real professors and taught different subjects. They marched in, with the hold of their department professors as ramp walk. It was eye catching. They dressed up as typical teachers in costumes, lesson plans, aids, hair put up, sarees, bags and umbrellas what not! Both one day and all day professors were welcomed with roses. Based on their merits, 33 of the student professors were selected and awarded with trophies and merit certificates. In the afternoon, friendly matches were conducted between students and staff in badminton, throw ball, chess and carrom boards. Winners were given medals and certificates. 09/09/2023, Saturday was special, as, it is also the Birthdays of our Founder cum Chairman Dr. S. Velladurai Pandian and His Daughter, who is also the Vice Chairman of the College. Hence, it was exclusively for the staff. Competitions like lucky corner, rangoli, cooking without fire, wealth out of waste, solo music, solo dance, group event with different skills rounds like General Knowledge, subject knowledge, suspense, music quiz etc., were held and colourful prizes with certificates were given. All staff members both teaching and non-teaching were presented individual gifts by the Chairman. Delicious lunch was provided by the Management. Both the days were thoroughly enjoyed by every one! Every one left with smile and sweet memories!
Totally there were six competitions with the participation of Eight colleges. Some competitions Chem Hurdles & Chem-AD- were New to our Queens and they could not win in such. Our I year Queen Ms. A. Kavitha bagged first prize in poster painting out of 8 Colleges. Every one congratulated her on her success.
The event was started with silent prayer and Tamilthai Vazhthu. Then Dr. R. Eswaran Principal of the College gave Felicitation Address. Then the resource person was honoured with mementos. Mrs. T. Ananthajothi gave Welcome Address, Mrs.A. Daisy gave vote of thanks and Miss. P.Panju was compering the programme. Dr. C. Dhamayanthi, Assistant Professor, Lady Doke College, Madurai gave inspiring speech with good interaction, It was lively and useful. In the afternoon session, they had cultural events from Tamil Literature. It was a Grand Success.

Department of Commerce in association with the Department of Business Administration organized an Awareness on career opportunity as company secretary on 24.08.2023 at 2.00 p.m in seminar hall. Mr. T. Raja , Incharge ICSI, Madurai Chapter , Madurai addressed the students by insisting the importance of various opportunities in commerce field and also how to face the exams like company secretary ship. He initiated the talk from the stages of CS programmes – CS Executive Entrance test, CS Executive Programme, CS professional Programme. He focused on how to register for the programme till the completion of Company Secretary. The session was interactive and the students came to know the importance of career in company secretary (CS). This programme gives the overall outlook about the all over awareness on career opportunity as company secretary ship towards for their future. This paves the students to upgrade their knowledge in the Career opportunity and Company Secretaryship.
The State Minority Commission conducted elocution competition in all the districts of Tamilnadu. In our district, the competition was held on March 31, 2023, in J.P. College of Engineering, Ayikudi. Tenkasi. Our two Vyasites, Ms.M.Fathi Muthu Zuhara of II M.A. English and Ms. M.S.Amal Sadia of II B.Sc. Physics participated in English and Tamil languages respectively and made us proud by securing Third Place in their division. The prize distribution Ceremony was held in St. Thomas Arts and Science College, Koyambedu, Chennai, on August 23, 2023. The winners received a certificate of appreciation and a Cheque of Rs. 5,000 /- from the Honourable State Minority Welfare Department Minister of Tamilnadu Thiru. Gingee K.S.Masthan and added one more proud accolade to our esteemed institution VYASA.

I would like to thank the Management Principal and HoD for giving me this opportunity to attend FDP Orientation program. The Program was handled by Mrs.Karthika who is in IBM SKILLS FOR ADULTS – TNSDC. The session went on well. The resource person explained all the details clearly. I gained knowledge related to the above topic and got benefits. I promise to teach this subject well for the development of the students. Also, I want to say my sincere thanks to TamilNadu Skill Development Center and Dr.A. Suruliandi, MSU Operational Cell Head, Naan Mudhalvan Program and his team organized this program well.
The IHA (IT HR Associates), a H.R Agency visited our college. They were introduced to us by our Chairman Sir. All the third year and II MA students were asked to assemble in the seminar hall by half past eleven. The programme commenced with a silent prayer. Mrs. Jeba Kapal welcomed the members and handed over the session to the firm members. The co-ordinator said that Pre Placement evaluation will be conducted in three phase (Written Test, GD, HR interview). After the evaluation students will be scrutinized and the eligible candidates lists will be taken. They will forward the list to the companies like INFOSYS, ORACLE, IBM, TCS, WIPRO and so on, when the need arises. They guaranteed that the minimum package will be Rs. 22,000 per month.Students had lunch break, they were asked to assemble in their respective classes after lunch.The afternoon session started by 1.00 pm. Aptitude Test was conducted , then they had Group Discussion. Students had a GD on five topics: 1.Is being selfish okay 2. Importance of Women’s Education 3. Who is most hurt because of Divorce 4. Online and Offline Education. 5. Merits of Corona. The session came to an end sharply at 3.45pm.
An One Day Faculty Orientation Programme was organised by Vyasa Arts & Science Women’s College on 19.08.2023 at 10 a.m. in the Seminar Hall. With God Almighty’s blessings and with the guidance of our beloved MD madam and Chairman Sir, the programme started with the silent prayer. Welcome speech was given by Mrs. G.S.Vimal Gnanamani, Assistant Professor, Department of English. This Programme started with heartfelt speech by our respected Vice–Chairman Madam Smt.V.Prakasa Valli. She wonderfully started her speech and narrated about the “ROLL OF A WOMAN” that to achieve these entire role there is only one trick that is ‘ACCEPTANCE’. Accept in heart and then your roll is easy and enjoyable without any pain. Ultimately, got the fruitful result that is Happiness, Satisfaction, Bliss and Punya. Dr. Subbiah, Principal (Retd). Arignar Anna College of Arts & Science, Krishnagiri delivered a wonderful PowerPoint presentation and narrated “The Best Teacher teaches from the heart not from the books” Teachers are not only Teachers, they are Felicitators. He explained the role of a teacher with his own lifetime experiences. Mrs. T. Indra Priyadharshini, Assistant Professor, Department of English proposed a vote of thanks. All faculty members with full enthusiasm and consciously participated in this wonderful FDP program followed by a delicious and tasty lunch with sweet served and which is organized by our esteemed college.
The function went on very well and was a grand success with the Grace of Almighty. The chief guest Nakkeeran Gopal hoisted the National flag, distributed prizes and gave special address. The special guest A.Ananthan lighted the Olympic lamp, distributed prizes to the sports winners and gave speech. Patrons like Dr. M. Subbiah, Thiru Lingaraj and Thiru L. Murali were present. Students secretary Miss. Aishya Maheera gave welcome address, and college pupil leader Miss. Harishmitha gave vote of thanks. Compering part was done by Mrs. Jeba Kapal, Miss.Shanmugapriya and Miss M. Muthumari. Various eye catchy events for different patriotic songs were held like march past, mass drill, lezzumes cum yoga, semi classical, western, folk & mixed dances by queens. Nearly 50% of the strength participated. Through these the students learnt soft skills, decoration, drawing, patrotic spirit, Leadership qualities, Fine arts skills, sports skills etc, which is the ultimate goal. Chairman, Managing Director, Principal, Exam Co-ordinator, H.O.Ds, all faculty members, non-teaching staff arranged and organised the function well & took it to the success amidst hot weather! Computer Science students at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli. This type of program enriches the knowledge of professors and helps to improve the skills for the students in specific subjects.

துணை இயக்குனர் டாக்டர் முரளிசங்கர் சுகாதார பணிகள், தென்காசி அவர்களின் அறிவுறுத்தலின் பேரில் வாசுதேவநல்லூர், சங்கரன்கோவில் மற்றும் குருவிகுளம் வட்டார அரசு ஆரம்ப சுகாதார நிலையத்தின் சார்பில் சுப்பிரமணியபுரம் வியாசா கலை மற்றும் அறிவியல் மகளிர் கல்லூரியில் ஒருநாள் UWIN Online Portal பயிற்சி நடைபெற்றது. இப்பயிற்சியானது மருத்துவர் தேவி உத்தமி DTT MO அவர்கள் தலைமையிலும், வட்டார மருத்துவர் திருமலை மற்றும் மருத்துவர் பரோஸ்ஹான் அவர்களின் முன்னிலையில் 80 அரசு ஆரம்ப சுகாதார பணியாளர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு பயிற்சி பெற்று பயனடைந்தனர்.
University Commission Member, Professor Dr. G. Muthulakshmi, Department of Computer Science and Engineering visited our college on July 28,2023 to provide additional intake seats for the Programme B.Sc. Computer Science . Dr.R.Eswaran,Principal, Mrs.S.Sujatha, Exam Co-ordinator, Mrs. S.Lalitha, HOD of Computer Science explained and showed all the documents for verifications. It has been successfully completed.
Food safety awareness programme was conducted on 21.07.2023 at 10 a.m. through "MOBILE VAN". Three Officials, Mr. S. Ganesh Ram – Junior Analyst, Mr. B. Prakash – Lab Technician and Mr. N. Sekar – Office Assistant from Food Safety Office, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli were delivered the function. All subject related vyasites visited inside the van and took notes. Later, a practical demonstration was given on the detection of adulterants in various food items including ghee, oil, coffee, honey, etc.
Date : 13.07.2023 Day: Thursday Event : BIS-Inaugural and standard writing competition. A seminar on BIS-Inaugural and standard writing competition was held 2.00 pm. 57 students from III year commerce were actively participated . Dr.E.Sivaraman, Associate Professor, Government College of Engineering, Tirunelveli has addressed the gatherings and enlightened about ISI & Hallmark-925 certification for the products and HUID number. 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th prizes were distributed with a cash of Rs1000, Rs750, Rs500 and Rs 250 respectively. Two team members shared their prizes in each category.
On Tuesday, July 4, 2023, 33 contestants for 4 posts deposited Rs.200 each and filed their nomination papers with the Chief Electoral Officer with the help of their H.O.Ds. On July 5th & 6th they presented their manifestos and had their election campaign. July 7 2023 election was conducted in nine booths. Total number of votes registered was 1370. All booth incharges made arrangements perfectly. Managing Committee members, Principal,Exam Co-ordinator,HODs, Teaching and Non Teaching faculty member casted their votes in the Lobby.At 1.30 p.m, votes were counted infront of the agents. Finaly the results were announced. Miss. J.Aysha Maahira from II M.A. English, Miss.R.Harismita from III B.Com,Miss.H.Asan Beevi from II B.Sc. Zoology,Miss.S.Karthika from III B.A. Tamil and Miss.C.Suwetha from II B.Sc. Mathematics were elected for students secretary, C.P.L, A.C.P.L, Sports Secretary and Asst. Sports Secreatary respectively.The Elected candidates will be crowned and appoinment orders will be given by the chief guest on 15th August during Independence day celebrations
An International Yoga day was organized with MAATRAM MUNNETRAM FOUNDATION & PRANA YOGA ACADEMY in our college campus on July 3,2023 at 10.00 A.M. Padmasri. Sridhar Vembu, CEO ZOHO Corporation was the chief guest and Sri. A. ANANTHAN, Founder, Maatram Munnetram Foundation was the special guest. A Special Invitee Nellai Dr. Prisha. Child Prodigy, Adjudicators Sri. F. Jeyakumar Yoga India Director Nova World Record and Sri. B. Guruprasath State adjudicator presided over the function. Chairman Dr. S. Velladurai Pandian, Managing Director Smt. Vellathai, Principal Dr. Eswaran, Exam Co-ordinator, H. O. Ds, all Professors and Students participated. We honoured the world record students A. Detarsan Arun, V. Navaneetha Krishnan,S. Venkat Prabhu,M. Sethu Santhosh Kumar with certificates and medals. Yoga Master S. ArunKumar came along with the students.
Twelve students from six college students were participated in Karma Veerar Kamarajar’s Birthday Celebrations oratorical competition on July 1, 2023 at Kamarajar Thirumana Mandapam Vasudevanallur organized by NMS Educational Celebration. Our College Queens Ms. M. S. Amal Shadia of first year physics department and Ms. G. Kaviyapriya of third year mathematics department had won First Prize of Rs. 5000/- and Second Prize of Rs. 2500/- (on sharing basis) respectively. We are proud of them!
Our Kabhadi team received Certificates and Gold Medals for Chief Minister Trophy 2023 conducted on Feb 02, 2023 in a district level intercollegiate competition from Tenkasi District Collector and Sports Officer on June 27, 2023 at Courtallam on 10.30 AM.
Anti Drug Awareness Rally was inaugurated by Sri. S.Sanjai Gandhi, Sub Inspector of police, Puliangudi in Subramaniapuram village on June 26,2023 at 10.00 am. 49 N.S.S volunteers of our college were holding slogan boards and repeated the slogans of anti drug issues continuously. Dr. Eswaran Principal, Dr. Avoodaiammal N.S.S. Programme Officer and Dr. S. Muthulakshmi Asst. Officer were organized the rally.
Freshers Day was celebrated on June 22,2023 in our college campus at 10.30am. All the HoDs welcomed their princess by roses and class in-charges distributed chocolates in front of the respective class rooms. First year princess were entertained with colourful dances, tablos, dramas, songs and rampwalk.
Parents Meeting for First year students was held on 19.06.2023 & 20.06.2023 at 11.00 am in the seminar hall. Managing Director clearly explained the rules and regulations of the college. Principal, Exam co-ordinator, Scholarship incharge, HoDs and subject handling faculty were introduced themselves. Principal explained regarding the achievements of VYASA, future plans and the possibility of getting NAAC etc. Bus timings and class rooms were informed to the parents. Finally parents submitted all the certificates to the the concerned person.
In view of introduction of NCC at Vyasa College, A Panel of Three NCC officers namely, Lt. Col. D.S. Samant SM,Officer, Commanding. 3 TN Girls Bn NCC., Major Manju. R, Administrative Officer. Sub Major D P Chaurasia Visited the College on June 1, 2023. They Inspected, the Room, Hostel, Ground, etc. thoroughly and gave positive and encouraging hope. Expecting favorable orders soon.
The Panel of Vice Chancellor’s Nominee Dr.J. Vijayadurai, Nine Vice Chancellor’s Subjects Experts of nine programmes, Nine panel of Subject experts, one Academician representing SC/ST Nominee and one special nominee for women came to the college on May 29, 2023 around 11.00 a.m. Out of 50 applied candidates, 45 appeared for the interview in various subjects in different rooms. As per UGC Norms & guidelines, candidates were interviewed and marks were allotted by the Panel. Finally, based on the total & merit, 10 New Candidates were selected and appointment orders were issued on the day itself. The University panel did their Yeomen service and the Management Committee members conveyed their Heartful Thanks to All who had contributed towards this cause.
On 16th May, Tuesday at about 2.00 p.m. The Panel of four members arrived and went through All Records, Class Rooms, Labs, Faculties Details etc. thoroughly and left the College at 5.30 p.m. They did their yeomen service, Guided us and offered their suggestions for the improvement of the College!
